About Us

 

CLP commenced trading in 1971 as City Life and Pension Consultants ltd. Within a couple of years our direction centred exclusively on the provision of Property based finance, so we shortened the name so as avoid being branded as Insurance Brokers. We simply adopted the initials. Hence CLP was born.
 
CLP have grown within an ever more sophisticated property finance market. We have over the years raised many Billions for our clients. We have long standing connections with lenders who have advanced in their roles and experience and become leaders in the market. These leaders respect our knowledge and continued presence (many arrangers of finance have only lasted a short period of time) and cooperate with us to create, sometimes exclusive, structures to meet market need.
 
Building on CLP's UK success, and having a multi lingual team, we expanded into Europe being careful to concentrate on those countries where  there is lender's support. One of our more prominent successes was arranging €1.15billion  for a client to grow an investment portfolio in Germany.  There have even been circumstances where CLP successfully introduced Lenders with particular expertise  to cross-border new markets.
 
CLP's objective is to establish long-term relationships between our clients and the lenders, always offering our many years of experience where it can be helpful.
 
We know what appeals to lenders, particularly having the experience of four property cycles (downturns) behind us.  When you make contact with us we will tell you very quickly if your requirement is, or can be adapted to meet lenders current criteria. We only take fees on success so be assured we wont waste time on enquiries which the market will not support.
